Damn you Safari. Damn you to hell.

The free version of Water Marquee is made entirely in Javascript, and takes advantage of some neat new features of HTML5.  A few of these features are pretty cutting edge, in the sense that even the latest instance of some browsers don't support them. I was aware that some people might have problems, but figured the vast majority of people would have a good experience, based on some browser usage stats I've seen..  When I started doing cross-browser testing, I found out that one of the browsers that would have problems was Apple's Safari.  Unfortunately, it doesn't support the new FileReader part of the new File API, which Water Marquee depends on heavily.

The error window shown if your browser doesn't support FileReader.
For Christmas, I got an Ipad.  I'm enjoying playing with it, and of course wanted to check out the site...and finally got a real dose of what it's like not to be able to use it.  The only good news is that Safari 6 is supposed to be out soon.
